Position:

Senior Field Applications Engineer

Job Description

The senior Field Applications Engineer will ensure that our OEM customers are supported throughout the customer’s design, development and qualification process of our linear semiconductor products, as well as during production ramp and high volume production. This position will develop and nurture relationships with assigned customers as the key person for technical information and bug support.

  • – Focal point for supporting customer inquiries seeking technical help.
  • – Focal point for representing customers issues to the internal development teams.
  • – Assisting sales and marketing with customers technical inquiries.
  • – Feedback customer information to internal development and marketing teams

Qualifications

  • – Knowledge of the basic linear electronics
  • – Overall knowledge consumer and industrial linear electronic circuits.
  • – Experience with LED Drivers and Power electronics
  • – Knowledge of bench testing, schematic capture and simulation tools
  • – BSEE/CS required, MSEE/CS preferred
  • – 10-15 years working industry experience
  • – Strong experience in troubleshooting, duplicating the customer’s problem, presenting the test results to the development team for a solution, track the progress of the solution, and keeping the customer informed throughout the process.
  • – Solid product, team and time management skills
  • – Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks at once
  • – Must be detail oriented with good organization and analytical skills

Qualifications

This position requires a BSEE/MSEE degree with 9 or more years of related FAE or equivalent experience. Ability to understand customer requirements and guide the design effort to success.

Language Skills

Ability to read, write and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and emails in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to internal and external customers and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Travel Requirement

Up to 50% domestic and some out of the country travel time might be required.

Job Description

In this position, the individual will be responsible for developing relationships with key strategic customers in North America in the LED Driver industry. The individual will develop account penetration strategies, sales plan and gainfully execute the established plan.

Qualifications

This position requires a BS/BA degree (MBA preferred) or equivalent with 9 or more years of related experience. The individual must also be able to develop trust relationship based on his personal and technical skills, see the “big picture” while at the same time understand the low level details that drive the all market and transform this understanding to a clear presentation that need to be communicated to the market, as well as internally in the organization. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. The individual must be self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have also demonstrated ability to work well with people and have a proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. In addition, the individual must have the abilities to work effectively cross-functionally, coordinate priorities and initiatives, troubleshoot and analyze complex problems, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are required.
